Lifted Increases

To work a lifted increase to the left, insert the tip of the left-hand needle into the stitch two stitches below the stitch on the right-hand needle:

Insert the right needle into this loop:

And knit into it as usual:

To work a lifted increase to the right, insert the tip of the right-hand needle into the stitch below the stitch on the left-hand needle:

And knit into it as usual:
