Disaster Recovery
All knitters make mistakes on occasion. Savvy knitters know how to
recover from mistakes. You, too, can be a savvy knitter: learn to
"tink" or unknit...
drop and re-knit stitches with a crochet hook or spare needles...
and "frog" or rip sections of knitting with a minimum of headaches.
These three techniques let you recover from basic mechanical goofs.
You'll practice them in class. You'll also learn to resolve sizing
problems, and problems with yarn that doesn't knit up as you had hoped.
Finally, you'll learn ways of preventing problems--for example,
how to measure gauge accurately, how to determine if a yarn is too
itchy or apt to bleed excess dye, and how to estimate the yardage
requirements for a project.
