Intro to Intarsia
With intarsia, you join blocks of color together by twisting yarns at
color changes. The trick is doing this without creating a tangled mess
of yarn.
In this class, you will use intarsia techniques to knit a tote bag with
Southwestern motifs:
This bag will give you the chance to practice different ways of managing
the yarn and avoiding tangles. You'll learn to cast on and bind off in
multiple colors, follow color charts, achieve smooth tension, and manage
ends. And you will have a chance to add detail via duplicate stitch:
